Welcome to the GLS Web Site
Welcome to the Ventana GLS Web site. Ventana GLS is an activity
section of the Ventana Chapter of the Sierra Club, which encompasses
Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. We warmly welcome members and
participants from any geographical location, however, and you need
not be a member of Ventana GLS or Sierra Club to attend our events.
GLS offers a variety of outings and events, from beginner-level
hikes to multi-day backpacking trips, conservation talks and beach
parties. We welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersex
and queer folks and our allies. Come enjoy and protect the environment
with us!
MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNING COMMITTEE
Due to a shrinking committee and other
commitments, the Gov Com is taking a hiatus until Spring
2005. In the meantime, please check the Loma
Prieta GLS chapter over the hill... they often host
activities in the Santa Cruz/Monterey area.
